Job summary

IKEA in Paramus, NJ is seeking a full-time Sales Associate to assist customers with home solutions and keep the store tidy and stocked. The role requires 34-40 hours per week and involves providing great service on the shop floor.

• Assisting customers and providing advice on the best solutions for their homes.
• Keeping your sales floor tidy, priced and fully stocked to give customers a positive shopping experience.

• Guiding customers toward top-selling and prioritized products.
• Assembling display products for the introduction of new products.

HOURS – 34-40 hours per week. Must have complete open working availability from Mondays to Saturdays between the hours of 9:00am-10:00pm.

The hourly pay rate range for this role is $19.91 - $28.12

Qualifications

• 2-3 year experience in retail sales, preferably in the home furnishing sector.
• Knowledge of how to build quality IKEA furniture.
• Knowledge of waste management and sustainability principles. Be able to inspect article items and determine what's the best way to recover and keep it going to landfill.
• Attention to detail while multi-tasking is a must.
• Ability and flexibility to shift focus easily.
• Medium to high level of technology savviness using multiple systems in handheld devices, as well as computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, etc.
• Ability to self-start and have good and quick decision making.
• Experience working in a customer and commercial-oriented business.
• Must be able/comfortable to lift, push, and pull heavy objects up to 50-75lbs. or more.
