Citi Trends in-store is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver excellent customer service and maintain knowledge of merchandise to ensure customer satisfaction.

The role requires proactive engagement with customers, strong communication, integrity, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail setting. The Sales Associate will support a positive work culture and assist with change management across the store.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Processes freight.
• Assisting with price changes/markdowns.
• Balances register according to company policy.
• Bags merchandise efficiently when completing a customer's transaction.
• Handles all cash, checks and credit cards correctly and by company policy.
• Obtains management approval when needed for returns, voids and checks.
• Handles maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Provides proper customer service such as greeting customers, abiding by fitting room policies, ringing customers in a timely fashion, thanking customers for shopping and inviting them to return.
• Follows all safety procedures.
• Keeps a professional, neat appearance, including wearing a name tag.
• Assists management in merchandising sales floor according to stock level.
• Explains exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions.
• Supports Loss Prevention with preventing theft and cash losses, reporting incidents, and following policies.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned.
