Job summary

The Children’s Place in Gurnee, Illinois is seeking a Sales Associate who will support the Store Leadership Team to achieve company goals and initiatives. You will model outstanding customer service, share product knowledge, and apply effective selling techniques to enhance the customer experience.

You will also maintain merchandise presentation, replenish stock, and ensure sizing accuracy while keeping the store and backroom clean and organized.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, overnights, evenings, and call-in shifts.
• Able to maneuver on sales floor and stockroom; climb ladder, lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Leadership to achieve company goals and initiatives.
• Model excellent customer service and effective communication.
• Provide product knowledge and selling techniques to customers.
• Maintain merchandise presentation, replenishment and sizing.
• Assist customers at the cashwrap and educate on PLACE Card benefits.
• Maintain a neat, clean stockroom and adhereto safety requirements.
• Follow Loss Prevention procedures and inform leadership of issues.
• Contribute to store goals through focused, well-managed efforts.
• Process stock as needed.
