Job summary

The Children’s Place in Chicago Ridge, IL is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team and help achieve company goals. You will deliver excellent customer service, share product knowledge, and apply current promotions while maintaining a clean, well-stocked floor and backroom.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, responding to activity with urgency, processing sales at the cashwrap, maintaining stock levels, and upholding merchandise presentation standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, overnights, evenings and call-in shifts.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with urgency, prioritizing assisting customers over other tasks.
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service.
• Effectively communicate value and quality of merchandise, share promotions, and offer solutions for out-of-stock items.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and educate customers on the PLACE Card.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure all sizes and styles are represented.
• Follow company standards of merchandise presentation, signage, and display.
• Support a neat, clean, organized stockroom and customer-ready environment; adhere to safety requirements.
• Perform daily housekeeping duties to company standard.
• Guarantee company assets by adhering to Loss Prevention procedures.
• Inform Store Leadership Team of maintenance and facility needs promptly.
• Contribute towards store goals and adapt to processing stock as needed.

Education
