Job summary

The Children's Place in Mercedes, Texas is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team and help achieve company goals. You will model excellent customer service with product knowledge and effective selling techniques to drive results.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, describing promotions, maintaining merchandise presentation, stocking, and ensuring a clean, safe store and backroom. Flexible shifts including weekends and evenings are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with a sense of urgency, prioritizing assisting customers over other tasks.
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service.
• Effectively communicate value and quality of our merchandise while sharing current promotions and offer solutions for stock issues.
• Exercise sound judgment in addressing customer concerns.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly, accurate service at the cashwrap and explain the PLACE Card benefits.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels and ensure sizes and styles are represented.
• Follow company standards of merchandise presentation, signage, and display.
• Keep stockroom neat, clean, and organized while maintaining customer-ready environment and safety.
• Perform daily housekeeping duties to company standard.
• Protect assets by following Loss Prevention procedures.
• Inform leadership of maintenance and facility needs promptly.
• Contribute to achieving store goals with focused efforts.
• Process stock as needed.
