Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking team members for TJ Maxx locations who deliver outstanding customer experiences and keep the store clean, organized, and compliant. You will engage with customers, promote programs, and support operations across sales floor areas.

Ideal candidates demonstrate strong communication, multitasking ability, reliability for varied shifts, and a willingness to learn through cross-training in multiple store areas.

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Capable of multi-tasking.
• Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Works effectively with peers and supervisors.
• Retail customer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Role models established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately rings customer purchases/returns and counts change back to customer according to procedures.
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintains merchandising standards and prepares merchandise for the sales floor.
• Keeps store clean and organized and participates in recovery as needed.
• Adheres to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Supports shrink reduction goals and safety initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
