Responsibilities

• Process freight
• Assist with price changes/markdowns
• Balance register according to policy
• Bag merchandise efficiently when completing a customer's transaction
• Handle cash, checks and credit cards correctly and by company policy
• Obtain management approval when needed for returns, voids and checks
• Handle maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned
• Provide proper customer service such as, greeting customers, abiding by fitting room policies, ringing up customers promptly, and thanking them for shopping at the store
• Follow all safety procedures
• Keep a professional, neat appearance, including wearing a name tag
• Assist management in merchandising the sales floor according to stock level
• Explain exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions
• Support Loss Prevention procedures, including preventing shoplifting and cash losses
• Perform other duties as may be assigned.
