Job summary

The Children's Place in Riverhead, NY is hiring a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals. You will model excellent customer service, share product knowledge, and use effective selling techniques to help customers.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, promoting promotions, maintaining visual standards, stocking and housekeeping, and ensuring a safe, organized store. Shifts may include weekends and evenings, with hourly pay of $17.00–$21.00.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with urgency, prioritizing helping customers.
• Greet customers and provide the appropriate level of service.
• Explain value and promotions, offer solutions for out-of-stock items.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment.
• Demonstrate selling skills to improve conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and explain the PLACE Card benefits.
• Maintain stock levels so sizes and styles are represented.
• Follow merchandising presentation, signage and display standards.
• Keep stockroom neat and organized; ensure a customer-ready environment.
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standards.
• Guard company assets by following Loss Prevention procedures.
• Inform leadership of maintenance and facility needs promptly.
• Contribute to store goals with focused, well-managed efforts.
• Be flexible by processing stock as needed.
