Job summary

The Children’s Place in Riverhead, NY is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team and deliver excellent customer service. You will use product knowledge, effective communication, and selling techniques to meet company goals while maintaining store presentation and safety standards.

You will greet customers, assist with promotions, manage stock levels, operate the cashwrap, and participate in backroom organization.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with a sense of urgency and prioritize service.
• Greet customers and provide appropriate level of service.
• Explain product value, promotions, and alternatives for out-of-stock items.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment and professionalism.
• Demonstrate selling skills to improve store conversions.
• Provide fast, friendly cashwrap service and promote the PLACE Card.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure sizes/styles are represented.
• Follow standards for merchandise presentation and signage.
• Keep stockroom neat and safe, adhering to LP procedures.
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standards.
• Inform leadership of maintenance or facility needs promptly.
• Contribute to store goals and adapt to stock processing needs.
