Job summary

Princess Cruises and Holland America Line's Fairbanks lodge is seeking a Seasonal Full-Time Retail Sales Associate/Barista to greet guests, assist with souvenirs, and serve espresso drinks, creating memorable travel moments.

Responsibilities include operating cash registers, balancing cash drawers, stocking merchandise, and coordinating with multiple departments to deliver exceptional guest service in a fast-paced setting; candidates must lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide product knowledge while assisting and directing guests.
• Operate cash registers while performing financial transactions and balancing cash drawers including end-of-day accounting duties.
• Generating maximum sales while providing excellent customer service and work environment.
• Communicates and coordinates with multiple departments in a friendly and professional manner.
• Prepare the espresso and other hot and cold drinks in accordance with state regulations.
• Maintain records, reports, logs, and files in accordance with company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Contributes to the overall display and presentation of the products in the store including stocking, and replenishing merchandise.
• Keep work areas organized, clean, and sanitized.

In select locations, Retail Sales Associates not only assist guests with finding the perfect keepsake, but also provide helpful guidance and serve espresso and coffee drinks to help start their day off right.

REQUIREMENTS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• Ability to lift 50 lbs./23kg.
• Ability to climb stairs and stand/walk/work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
• Ability to communicate verbally and written both in person and over the phone and radio.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
• Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
