Job summary

AAA Club Alliance is seeking a Retail Sales Associate in Gaithersburg, MD to promote AAA memberships, insurance referrals, and financial products.

You will assist customers with travel planning, including hotels, car rentals, and vacation packages, and handle routine inquiries and service requests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication skills to build trust and explain value clearly.
• Comfortable navigating multiple systems in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous sales experience is a plus.
• Notary Public designation or willingness to obtain within 6 months of employment.
• Screenings including criminal, drug, and employment verifications may apply.

Responsibilities

• Promote and recommend AAA memberships, insurance referrals, and financial products.
• Assist customers with travel planning including hotels, car rentals, and vacation packages.
• Manage and respond to calls throughout the day.
• Support cashiering, tag and title services, and ID services as needed.

Job description

Hourly Pay

Hourly Pay: $18.82 – $24.07. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.

Monthly Incentive Opportunity

Average $162 – $389 in bonus earnings per month based on individual performance.

Schedule You’ll Love

Monday – Friday, 8AM to 6PM, and Saturday, 8AM to 5PM; 37.5 Hour Work Week No late nights. No Sundays!

What You’ll Do as a Retail Sales Associate

• Consistently promote and recommend AAA memberships, insurance referrals, and financial products
• Assist customers with travel planning including hotels, car rentals, and vacation packages
• Manage and respond to RACC calls continuously throughout the day
• Contribute to team operations by helping with cashiering, tag and title services, and ID services as needed

What Makes You a Great Fit

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong communication skills - you can build trust and explain value clearly
• Comfortable navigating multiple systems in a fast-paced environment
• Previous sales experience is a plus
• Basic geography knowledge is a plus
• Notary Public designation or willingness to obtain with 6 months of employment
• Satisfactory pre-employment and post-employment screening results including criminal, drug, and state and/or vendor specific screenings. This may include the ability to obtain necessary Membership license (or others) as required to perform the essential functions of the position.
