Job summary

Beau & Ro, a Charleston boutique, is seeking an on-site Retail Sales Associate to welcome customers, offer styling guidance, and deliver an elevated in-store experience reflecting the brand values.

Responsibilities include assisting with product selection, processing purchases and returns, maintaining merchandising standards, and supporting store events. Some weekends and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and client interaction skills, with the ability to build relationships and create a welcoming, inclusive environment.
• Retail sales experience, including cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) system proficiency, preferably in fashion or boutique settings.
• Interest in fashion, styling, and current trends, with an eye for visual merchandising and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening and clear, professional speaking and writing.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, move merchandise, and maintain an organized, safe sales floor.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.
• Flexible availability, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; prior boutique or specialty retail experience is highly preferred.

Role Description

The Retail Sales Associate is an on-site role based in Charleston, SC. Day-to-day tasks include assisting customers with product selection, processing purchases and returns, maintaining visual merchandising standards, and keeping the store clean and organized. The role also involves learning product details and designers, managing inventory on the sales floor, handling basic customer inquiries, and supporting store events or trunk shows as needed. This position may include weekend and holiday shifts based on store needs.
