Job summary

Sugar Bowl Resort is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to help guests gear up in our resort shops, sharing product knowledge and delivering a top-tier mountain lifestyle experience. You’ll learn brands through training and assist guests in selecting technical apparel and accessories across our shops.

Qualifications

• Retail experience preferred in a resort shop, specialty store, or similar environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-first approach.
• Fluent English.
• Weekend and holiday availability required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, assess their needs, and share product knowledge.
• Sell technical apparel and accessories with training provided on all products/brands.
• Learn and operate the RTP POS system and sell across resort locations.
• Perform store open and close procedures.
• Maintain a visually appealing store environment through straightening, sizing, restocking, and light cleaning.
• Assist with inventory management including receiving, tagging, folding, and organizing backstock.
• Support restocking transfers between retail locations on foot and in POS system.
• Stay current on new industry products and trends; share knowledge with guests and teammates.
• Resolve guest inquiries promptly or escalate to Retail Manager as needed.
• Promote and comply with Sugar Bowl's mission, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Retail Manager.

What You’ll do

• Deliver an exceptional shopping experience by greeting guests warmly, assessing their needs, and sharing genuine product knowledge
• Sell technical apparel and accessories - training provided on all products and brands
• Learn and operate the RTP POS system; be able to sell any product across any resort retail location
• Perform store open and close procedures
• Work with the team to maintain a visually appealing store environment through straightening, sizing, restocking, and light cleaning
• Assist with inventory management including receiving product, tagging, folding, and organizing backstock
• Support restocking transfers between retail locations on foot and in POS system
• Stay current on new industry products and trends; proactively share that knowledge with guests and teammates
• Quickly and effectively resolve guest inquiries; escalation unresolved issues to the Retail Manager in a timely manner
• Embrace, promote, and comply with Sugar Bowl's mission, values, policies, and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Retail Manager

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and move for extended periods during a full shift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds, including product boxes and inventory
• Ability to bend, kneel, and reach for stocking, organizing, and display work
• Ability to perform snow removal and light shoveling around store entrances as needed
• Ability to walk between retail locations on foot to support restocking transfers
