Job summary

MDG Flooring America – Kiba Studios in Akron, OH is seeking a Sales Associate to guide customers from inquiry to installation. You’ll bond with clients, promote flooring and related products, and leverage networks to expand the showroom’s reach.

You will deliver exceptional service, close sales when appropriate, and participate in training to become a knowledgeable flooring and design expert. This role offers steady hours and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Retail sales experience a plus
• Passion and/or experience decorating or designing
• Self-starter
• Organized and well-managed
• Microsoft Office a plus
• Flexible work hours to include weekends
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation for In-Home visits

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and neat showroom
• Provide outstanding customer service
• Handle sales from start to finish
• Sell flooring, window coverings, and floor care products
• Answer customer questions
• Help customer with decorating and/or design advice
• Prospect for new business
• Manage time in the showroom, in the customer’s home and prospecting for new clients
• Undergo extensive product and sales training to become a certified flooring and design expert
• Keep up-to-date on the wide select of floors we offer along with the benefits and warranties provided by each

Our sales professionals guide the customer journey from inquiry to installation. We're looking for customer enthusiasts who can help home and business owners navigate a major remodeling investment. While you will certainly be expected to soak up product knowledge, your most important trait is the ability to bond with prospective customers. You're the kind of person that customers naturally like and trust.

Our best sales associates view themselves as a business within the business, leveraging their personal brands alongside our powerful national and local branding. As such, you should be equally comfortable greeting customers in the showroom and promoting our store through your professional and personal networks. While you place a premium on the customer experience, you also don't hesitate to close when the time is right. You have the conviction to do what's right for your customers by helping them acquire the flooring of their dreams! Since most of our products are installed, you should also care deeply about the beauty and quality of a job done right.
