Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking a Retail Safety Program Manager to lead and continuously improve the Beautifully Safe program across all stores. You will develop safety policies, standardize practices, and drive risk-based initiatives with operations, risk management, asset protection and people success teams.

You will investigate incidents, ensure OSHA compliance, prepare leadership reports, and mentor field leaders on safety best practices. This role requires travel and a strong safety background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of experience supporting occupational safety programs, compliance, or risk management.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general safety compliance practices.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain retail store safety policies and procedures.
• Lead company-wide store safety initiatives focused on injury prevention and risk mitigation.
• Standardize safety practices across all store locations.
• Evaluate safety performance metrics and implement continuous improvement strategies.
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership on safety performance.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA and applicable laws.
• Investigate OSHA complaints and inspections with documentation and follow-up.
• Serve as liaison with government agencies and inspectors.
• Maintain safety documentation and records; monitor regulatory changes.
• Benchmark safety programs with industry peers and attend conferences.
• Track contagious disease control programs and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct investigations and root cause analysis of injuries/incidents.
• Prepare injury prevention action plans and monitor trends.
• Perform safety audits and inspections across stores and facilities.
• Identify hazards and drive corrective actions with store management.
• Design and lead safety training for leadership and associates.
• Maintain ongoing safety awareness initiatives enterprise-wide.
