Job summary

Aspen Snowmass is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for Four Mountain Sports Aspen. This full-time, year-round role leads daily store operations, drives guest experience, and oversees both retail and rental functions.

Eligible for bonus; salary range is $68,000–$71,000 per year. The position requires 2–5 years in retail/hospitality, supervisory experience, and POS proficiency, with emphasis on service excellence and team leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in retail, hospitality, rental, or guest service environments required.
• Minimum 1–2 years of previous supervisory or leadership experience required.
• Experience managing teams in fast-paced, high-volume retail or rental environments preferred.
• Experience in ski or snowboard retail or rental operations strongly preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with POS systems, cash handling, and operational reporting required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily store operations in partnership with the Store Manager, including ownership during the Store Manager’s absence.
• Oversee sales floor execution to maximize guest experience and sales opportunities.
• Model and reinforce exceptional guest service standards and resolve escalated guest concerns.
• Drive performance through selling behaviors, cross-selling, and accountability for KPIs.
• Coach and develop associates; assist with hiring, onboarding, and training.
• Oversee rental operations ensuring proper equipment selection, fitting, safety, and alignment with retail.
