Job summary

Tailored Brands, Inc. seeks a Sr Director, Sr Real Estate Counsel to lead the retail store portfolio’s real estate legal function across the U.S. and Canada.

You will draft, review, and negotiate leases, LOIs, amendments, and related documents with landlords and brokers while supervising the Real Estate Counsel team for timely delivery. You will partner with SVP Real Estate & Construction, Real Estate Directors, and cross-functional teams in deals strategy, store growth, remodels, and closures.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active U.S. bar admission.
• At least 10 years of legal experience in commercial real estate with retail leasing.
• Ability to independently negotiate and close leases, amendments, and related agreements.
• Experience managing a team of Real Estate Counsel.
• Strong organizational, written, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the real estate legal function across the U.S. and Canada.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial leases, LOIs, amendments, and related agreements.
• Supervise Real Estate Counsel team and ensure timely, high-quality work.
• Partner with Construction, Store Operations, and Finance on portfolio strategy.
• Maintain up-to-date lease files and reporting; advise on disputes and landlord defaults.
• Manage outside counsel and control time and costs.
