Job summary

Brixmor Property Group in Chicago is seeking a Project Director to lead reinvestment design, entitlement and execution across multiple states, coordinating with leasing, national accounts and construction teams. Qualifications

• 5 - 10 years combined, including development / redevelopment / entitlement experience.
• College/university degree required.
• Proven track record in the entitlements process and consultant management.
• Bias for action and results. Willingness and ability to receive feedback and rapidly translate it into forward progress.
• Effective leadership and communication skills. Ability to influence, collaborate with, and gain credibility among peers, staff, and leadership in the regions and corporate office.
• Relationships with national retailers, brokers, consultants and others in CRE.
• Knowledge and ability to review lease documents, Property Title reports and technically review plan sets.

Responsibilities

• Drive successful execution for assigned reinvestment projects, such as site densifications, outparcel developments and space reconfigurations.
• Cultivate the project conceptual program and design development.
• Build the project team by directing third-party consultants and internal experts.
• Negotiate and administer contracts and manage budgets.
• Lead entitlement strategy and municipal approvals, attending meetings and hearings.
• Coordinate with leasing and national accounts to drive lease commitments.
• Report on construction progress through project completion and manage tenant relations.
• Regular travel to assets/markets/tenants in support of assigned projects.
