Job summary

Brixmor is seeking a Project Director, Re/Development in Chicago, IL. You will lead the design, entitlement and execution of reinvestment projects across multiple states within Brixmor's portfolio, partnering with regional leasing, national accounts and construction teams.

Requires 5–10 years in retail development or related fields; travel is required. Hybrid work schedule; base salary $140,000–$180,000 with annual bonus potential.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in development/redevelopment/entitlement.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Proven track record in entitlements and consultant management.
• Strong leadership, communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with retail developments and knowledge of municipal processes.
• Experience with MS Project, Excel, Salesforce, BI, and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Drive reinvestment projects from concept to completion.
• Lead third-party consultants and internal experts.
• Manage budgets, schedules and project returns.
• Coordinate with leasing and construction teams to secure leases.
• Represent entitlement strategy with municipal authorities.
• Cultivate tenant relationships across projects.
• Travel to assets and markets as needed.
