Job summary

Vestar is seeking an Assistant Property Manager in Phoenix, AZ to support the Property Manager with day-to-day property operations, tenant relations, and financial reporting. The role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and proactive communication with tenants and vendors.

The candidate will participate in inspections, rent collection, invoicing, and monthly reporting, while maintaining records, contracts, and insurance information. A degree and property management experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree preferred.
• 2-4 years’ retail/commercial property management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performing periodic site inspections.
• Assist Property Manager in collection of delinquent rent and other charges.
• Research and preparation of default letters.
• Common area maintenance reconciliation preparation in cooperation with the property accountant.
• Coding of vendor invoices.
• Tenant account reconciliations and account adjustments.
• Initial preparation of certain components of monthly reports.
• Prepare lease abstracts for review by the Property Manager.
• Assist in preparation and collection of estoppel certificates.
• Maintain updated service contracts for all properties.
• Maintain updated certificate of insurance information for tenants and contractors.
• Maintain updated real estate license records and tenant/contractor lists.
• Track and implement rental increases with assistance from accounting and Property Manager.
• Handle and track all work orders for properties.
