Job summary

Mackenzie seeks a Project Architect / Retail Business Unit Leader in a hybrid role based in California. The position requires leading retail projects across markets, developing growth strategies, and maintaining relationships with developers, brokers, and contractors.

Open to varied experience levels and compensation commensurate with experience. Salary range of $120,000 to $160,000, with a hybrid office schedule and in-office presence Tue–Thu; option to work from home Mon and Fri.

Qualifications

• Licensed Architect with 15 to 25 years of experience.
• Experience leading interdisciplinary retail projects including ground-up centers, renovations, and tenant improvements.
• Strong industry relationships with developers, brokers, contractors in CA/OR/WA.
• Proven business development and cross-sell across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee a business development strategy for retail projects across Mackenzie's markets.
• Maintain and expand relationships with clients, contractors, brokers, and consultants.
• Lead and serve as AOR on retail projects as PM or Principal-in-Charge.
• Collaborate across disciplines to deliver results.
