Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee is seeking a Retail Production Associate in Shelbyville to support store operations by sorting, pricing, and preparing donated Softline and Hardline merchandise. You will work under store management to meet quota-driven production goals while upholding quality, safety, and the organization’s mission.

This role emphasizes teamwork and process adherence, with duties across backroom and production areas to ensure merchandise is shop-ready and accurately

Qualifications

• Education – High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience – Retail, production, warehouse, or customer-facing roles preferred, but not required.
• Ability to follow established production processes, procedures, and safety guidelines with consistency and attention to detail.
• Ability to work accurately in a quota-driven environment where quality is the top priority.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move items as required in a production and retail setting.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Sort, tag, price, and prepare donated Softline and Hardline merchandise according to standards.
• Maintain clean, organized, safe production environment while meeting productivity quotas.
• Support opening/closing routines and coordinate movement between production, backroom, and sales floor.
• Follow all policies, safety guidelines, and report hazards or issues promptly.
• Stay flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
