Job summary

Versatex is seeking a proactive sales training liaison to engage Home Depot and Lowe’s ProDesk associates. You will build relationships, conduct virtual Product Knowledge sessions, and educate staff on James Hardie products to help homeowners and contractors choose the right solutions.

You will coordinate with Outside Sales, maintain CRM records, and support campaigns to boost retailer engagement and sales.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in retail sales, account development, customer experience, relationship development, or a related field preferred.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships and positively influence others.
• Comfortable initiating outbound conversations and developing relationships with new contacts.
• Confident presenting virtually to individuals and groups.
• Strong active-listening and problem-solving skills.
• Tech savvy with the ability to quickly learn and efficiently navigate multiple systems and software platforms.
• Highly organized with strong follow-through and time-management skills.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently while collaborating with a broader team.
• Resilient and able to adapt communication strategies when faced with resistance.
• Experience within home improvement retail, building products, decking, railing, or a related industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Outreach to Home Depot and Lowe’s ProDesk associates to build relationships.
• Develop relationships with ProDesk, store leadership, and district leaders.
• Ask questions to understand store needs and identify opportunities.
• Schedule and conduct virtual Product Knowledge sessions.
• Educate associates on James Hardie products and selling opportunities.
• Help associates discuss James Hardie products to homeowners and contractors.
• Maintain persistence with difficult stores and associates.
• Follow up after training to reinforce knowledge and opportunities.
• Coordinate with Outside Sales to align outreach and follow-up.
• Collect store feedback and share competitive insights.
• Use CRM and productivity tools to document activity.
• Support campaigns to increase James Hardie engagement in retail.
