Job Description: We’re seeking an experienced pharmacy technician to join our team at Parrish Medical Center in Titusville, FL, on an as-needed (PRN) basis. The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced team environment, is detail-oriented, and willing to assist where necessary. This position offers a competitive pay rate, with potential adjustments based on experience and qualifications, as well as opportunities for advancement, employee recognition, and team collaboration.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Assist the pharmacist by entering and/or filling prescriptions for medications for oral, rectal, topical, or injectable use.
2. Create medication labels and unit dose medications.
3. Accurately and efficiently complete data entry of prescriptions.
4. Demonstrate ability to calculate figures and amounts related to dosage calculations for diverse patient populations.
5. Maintain inventory of supplies in the pharmacy and reorder as needed.
6. Interact professionally and efficiently via email and telephone with customers, coworkers, and healthcare professionals.
7. Make calls on behalf of the pharmacy to insurance companies, healthcare facilities, etc., for problem solving and information gathering.
8. Sell patient prescriptions to patients or their representatives using the point of sale system.
9. Prepare and process records and reports, including medications and supplies dispensed, and manage charges accordingly.

Position Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Current pharmacy technician license in the applicable state(s).
