What We're Looking For:
- A dependable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician who can support pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications safely and accurately.
- Someone who is committed to excellent customer service, teamwork, patient safety, and maintaining accurate records.
- 1 year of pharmacy technician experience is preferred.
- High school diploma or GED preferred, or 2 years of work experience.
- Must have Trainee Certification or Pharmacy Technician Certification from the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy.

What You Will Do:
The Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining drug inventory, and keeping accurate records under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
- Prepare prescriptions for pharmacist verification.
- Maintain over-the-counter stock and prescription inventory at appropriate levels.
- Accurately enter prescription charges and credits into the pharmacy computer system.
- Assist with ordering, receiving, unpacking, storing, rotating, restocking, and replacing medications and supplies.
- Prepackage medications in unit-of-use containers as needed.
- Maintain logs, records, and required documentation accurately.
- Professionally assist customers by phone, at the service window, and through medication-related support requests.
- Make STAT deliveries to patient care areas when requested.
- Complete medication storage area inspections in a timely manner.
- Participate in quality improvement activities by conducting monitors, collecting data, and completing assigned documentation.
- Maintain competency required for the current job title and position.
- Follow all applicable HIPAA, safety, compliance, and patient confidentiality standards.
