Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital-based clinical pharmacy program.
• PharmD degree is required.
• Current Louisiana pharmacist license with knowledge of pharmacodynamics, clinical pharmacy practices, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Promote pharmacodynamics of patient care and assist the clinical coordinator in econotherapeutics activities.
• Provide safe, effective, and cost-conscious drug therapies for patients of all ages within department scope.
• Prepare and dispense drug orders per physician request according to policies and protocols.
• Monitor drug therapy regimens for safety, efficacy, and cost-effectiveness; offer clinical consultation and alternatives.
• Supervise pharmacy support personnel and ensure timely, accurate services.
• Participate in Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee meetings, formulary management, and cost-saving initiatives.
