Allina Health's Community Pharmacy Abbott Northwestern Heart Hospital in Minneapolis seeks a Pharmacy Technician. The role supports pharmacists by accurately preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and delivering excellent customer service to patients and staff.

Responsibilities include prescription filling, order entry, and ensuring quality checks while adhering to policies. The position is 1.0 FTE with 8-hour Day/Evening shifts and every 4th weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician duties including prescription filling and customer service.
• Inventory management and order fulfillment.
• Quality checks to reduce audit risk (DAW, days supply, NDC validation).

Responsibilities

• Prescription filling and order entry into pharmacy management software.
• Fulfilment of reviewed orders and final dispense per disposition.
• Provide service to internal and external customers; greet patients and staff.
• Advocate for patients by assisting with copay programs and manufacturer assistance.
• Inventory management including restocking and transferring medications.
• Assist with returns, waste, and discrepancy reporting.
• Perform quality assurance activities and monitor expiration dates.
