Job summary

Rainy Lake Medical Center in International Falls, MN is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in dispensing prescriptions, maintaining drug storage, and supporting billing and quality assurance in a busy retail pharmacy.

The role requires MN Pharmacy Technician license or progress toward it, a high school diploma, and up-to-date training. The position is full-time, on-site with rotating shifts and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Licensed MN Pharmacy Technician or willing to complete education within 1 year of onboarding.
• MN Board of Pharmacy approved pharmacy technician training within 1 year of onboarding.
• PTCB or ExCpt preferred.
• AAS degree or equivalent preferred.
• One year retail pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in compounding, preparing and dispensing prescriptions.
• Maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs; ensure equipment is functioning properly.
• Assist in resolution of equipment maintenance and repair; control inventory stock level.
• Assist with billing related functions.
• Assist with departmental quality assurance and other customer- or patient-focused services with oversight from supervisory staff.
• Create and maintain a safe working environment in compliance with state laws.

Education

High School graduate or equivalent

Licensed MN Pharmacy Technician or willing to complete education within 1 year of onboarding

MN Board of Pharmacy approved pharmacy technician training within 1 year of onboarding

Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or ExCpt

Pharmacy Technician Associate Applied Science (AAS) Degree or Equivalent

One year retail pharmacy experience
