Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited pharmacy technician-training program.
• Acceptance into pharmacy school.
• High school diploma or equivalent and one year of pharmacy or health care related experience.
• Pharmacy Tech I: must be registered with the NC Board of Pharmacy within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Follow workflow procedures including prescription processing, medication preparation and distribution.
• Restock automatic dispensing cabinets and anesthesia workstations.
• Answer and screen telephone calls and direct to appropriate staff.
• Handle medications per department, regulatory and legal requirements.
• Collaborate with pharmacy team, insurers and customers to resolve issues.
• Assist with basic clinical functions in support of the clinical pharmacist.
