Job summary

UCI Health, part of the University of California, Irvine, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our hospital pharmacy team. You will prepare, package, document and label drug products under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist, and perform data entry and filing related to the process.

You will also participate in drug purchasing, inventory control, and Pharmacy Department Performance Improvement projects, collecting data for workload measurements as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have California Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration License or Pharmacy Intern Registration Certificate.
• Preferred: Degree or certificate from an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, document and label drug products under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist.
• Perform data entry and filing related to the drug preparation process and handle drug purchasing and inventory control procedures.
• Participate in Pharmacy Department Performance Improvement projects/programs and collect data for workload measurements as required.
