Join Our Team as a Retail Pharmacy Technician 1 at Inova Health

Inova Loudoun Hospital Retail Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Retail Pharmacy Technician 1 to join our team. This is a full-time position with shifts Monday – Friday, including days/evenings rotating shifts, and every other weekend.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with reviewing, preparing, filling, labeling, and dispensing medications and supplies.
• Maintain equipment and temperature logs according to policies.
• Manage inventory, including checking for out-of-date products and recording them appropriately.
• Enter prescription data into the computer system, including patient and insurance information.
• Prepare medications by mixing, counting pills, and labeling bottles.

Additional Requirements

• Work Schedule: 40 hours/week, shifts vary (days/evenings), every other weekend. Hours are Monday to Friday 9 am - 7 pm; Saturday & Sunday 11 am - 5 pm. Must be flexible.
• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Experience: 1 year of retail pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Certifications: Registered Pharmacy Technician in Virginia or a Pharmacy intern license; BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
