Job summary

Black River Health is seeking a Full-Time Retail Pharmacy Technician to join our team at the Krohn Clinic campus in Wisconsin. This role supports pharmacists to ensure safe, timely, and accurate medication care for patients, with a Monday–Friday day shift and every third Saturday rotation.

You will enter data, label and package medications, and process refills under supervision, while maintaining confidentiality and high attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Registered as a pharmacy technician with the state board within 6 months of hire.
• National pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) within one year of hire.
• Minimum of one year of retail or outpatient pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivers exceptional customer service by anticipating needs and maintaining a positive, professional demeanor.
• Enters customer and prescription information accurately into the pharmacy management system.
• Prepares, labels, and packages medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Processes prescription refills, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Responds to routine questions related to medications, insurance, and billing; escalates complex inquiries as appropriate.
