UHC United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV seeks an Operations Pharmacy Technician I to assist in drug distribution under pharmacist supervision. You will prepare unit-dose meds, read prescriptions, and ensure accurate labeling and delivery for pediatric and geriatric patients.

Requires a high school diploma and state licensure as applicable; six months of experience preferred. Responsibilities include inventory, ordering, and maintaining compliant records in a busy hospital pharmacy.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current Pharmacy Technician license or trainee permit as required by the state boards (MD, OH, PA, WV).
• Associates degree or post high school science education or formal pharmacy tech training is preferred.
• Minimum six months of pharmacy technician experience.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare unit-dose medications, deliver medications, and order supplies.
• Read physician orders and prepare medications, including pediatric/geriatric dosage forms.
• Accurately prepares and delivers controlled substances with proper records.
• Communicate with patients or caregivers about medication, possession, and delivery scheduling.
• Prepare non-parenteral medications and label products correctly.
• Maintain inventory and keep pharmacy areas clean and organized.
• Perform dosage calculations and QA per departmental standards.
• Label prepackaged medications and maintain related records.
