Job summary

Giant Food in Baltimore is seeking a Pharmacist to ensure safe, accurate dispensing and exceptional patient care in a retail setting. The role includes prescription verification, patient counseling, immunization services, and collaboration with healthcare providers to maintain compliance and quality standards.

The Pharmacist will lead pharmacy staff, optimize workflow, manage inventory and budgets, and participate in health and wellness initiatives.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license required in state of employment.
• MTM certification where applicable.
• Immunization certification preferred.
• Experience supervising pharmacists, technicians, and staff.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations and workflow to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Verify prescriptions and counseling patients on medications.
• Support immunization services and clinical programs within the store.
• Lead and develop pharmacy staff, managing schedules and performance.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with HIPAA, DEA, and state/federal laws.
