Job summary

Giant Food is seeking a Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Team in Berlin, MD. The Pharmacist will ensure safe, accurate dispensing of medications, provide patient counseling, and support immunization and wellness initiatives in a retail setting.

The role requires an active PharmD or B.S. in Pharmacy with a valid state license, immunization certification, and 2–5+ years of retail pharmacy experience. Strong leadership and adherence to regulations are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or B.S. in Pharmacy required.
• Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of employment.
• Immunization certification or eligibility.
• MTM certification where applicable.
• 2–5+ years of retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• Experience as Pharmacy Manager, Pharmacist-in-Charge, or Lead Pharmacist is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Verify prescriptions and counsel patients.
• Provide immunization services and health/wellness support.
• Ensure safety, accuracy and efficiency in dispensing medications.
• Lead pharmacy staff and manage workflows and budgets.
• Maintain compliance with state/federal regulations (HIPAA, DEA).
