Job summary

Allina Health Pharmacy at Abbott Northwestern Heart Hospital in Minneapolis is seeking a Pharmacist for a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two-week pay period) with an 8-hour day/evening shift and occasional weekends. The role provides clinical pharmacotherapy, medication counseling, and medication safety oversight in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will review medications, ensure appropriate dosing, monitor for drug interactions, and support cost-efficient medication decisions while maintaining privacy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited school.
• 0-2 years of identified pharmacy experience.
• Retail pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides optimal pharmaceutical care for patients and oversees drug distribution systems.
• Reviews medications for safety, efficacy and cost-effectiveness.
• Counsels patients and caregivers on new medications and refills.
• Provides medication education and pharmacotherapeutic recommendations.
