Job summary

Allied Universal in Bay City, MI is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Driver to protect clients across Retail/Malls and other sites. This unarmed role involves routine patrols, visible presence, access control, and delivering excellent customer service.

The position is full-time with a shift schedule that includes late evenings and overnight hours. A valid driver's license and basic computer skills are required, along with a high school diploma and the ability to pass background and drug

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail common areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues according to site procedures.
• Assist with the orderly flow of visitors and respond to customer questions, directions, and requests while maintaining a professional presence.
