Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is hiring for a store teammate role in Baton Rouge. You will greet customers and teammates, assess needs, and help create an exceptional shopping experience.

You will assist with unloading freight, processing shipments, and maintaining stock and store presentation to brand standards. The position requires physical tasks such as standing, bending, reaching and lifting up to 35 lbs, and the ability to work extended periods.

Qualifications

• Prior retail sales, operations, maintenance, or customer-focused experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet teammates and customers and proactively understand their needs to support their shopping experience.
• Ensure merchandise and products are processed per programs; keep backroom organized.
• Uphold merchandising and presentation standards.
• Assist with unloading trucks, processing freight, transfers, RTVs, claims, and freight processing.
• Deliver the company-defined customer experience per service level standards.
• Follow safety, loss prevention and SOPs; maintain confidentiality of company information.
• Create an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome and respected.
• Support the team across the store as needed.
