Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking an Assistant Store Manager of Operations to lead in a fast-paced retail environment. You will coach a Captain-level team, optimize processes, and maintain high merchandising and service standards to deliver an exceptional athlete experience.

You’ll drive training, staffing plans, and payroll oversight, partnering with the Store Manager to ensure the store runs smoothly and efficiently every day.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of retail management or customer-facing experience.
• Experience leading a Captain/Supervisor level team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the Store Manager to develop and execute full‑year business growth plans and forecast 90+ days out.
• Directly manages a team of Captains and coaches broader store teammates for high performance.
• Upholds merchandising standards, pricing, and customer service to elevate the athlete experience.
• Leads training initiatives, onboarding and staffing plans across the store workforce.
• Oversees payroll, scheduling, and budget alignment to respond to traffic and sales trends.
