Job summary

Kirkland's in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Senior Assistant Manager to support operations and merchandising alongside the Store Manager. You will coach the store team to drive sales, manage expenses, execute promotions, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

This role is designed for succession planning and you should be ready to assume Store Manager duties within 12 months if a position becomes available; occasional travel to other stores may be required.

Qualifications

• College preferred or 1-3 years of experience in a retail environment.
• Ability to relocate for a Store Manager position preferred.
• Energetic, results oriented and competitive with a drive to succeed.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work 40 hours per week; weekends, holidays and evenings may be required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Leads, supports and values Customer Service in both the in store and online shopping experience.
• Greets every customer with enthusiasm and maintains a positive attitude.
• Educates customers on promotions and merchandise to support buying decisions.
• Builds high performing teams and maintains productive relationships across the district.
• Monitors store performance targets and analyzes results with the Store Manager.
• Supports staffing through recruiting and hiring decisions in the market.
• Executes promotions, merchandising and branding in line with company strategies.
• Travel occasionally to other store locations to support as needed.
