Job summary

val's services is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support day-to-day store operations with a customer-first focus. You will supervise, merchandise, manage inventory, and safeguard company assets while maintaining a clean, organized store and delivering excellent customer service.

The role includes cashiering duties, assisting with scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance. You will help in the absence of the Store Manager and contribute to a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of retail experience and 6 months supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication, math, and cash-handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer service efforts by greeting and assisting customers.
• Assist with scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise receiving, stocking, rotation, and display per planograms.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and control damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
• Support cashier accountability and cash handling procedures.
• Help manage store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
