Job summary

Burberry is seeking a detail-oriented Store Operations assistant in New York to support back-of-house operations and inventory control. You will handle stock receipts, assist sales with timely stock retrieval, and maintain a neat, compliant stockroom.

The role includes quality control, coordinating alterations/repairs, and supporting events and merchandising efforts to enhance the client experience.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Intermediate computer skills in core Microsoft software.
• Experience with SAP desirable.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Experience in a busy retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of inventory control including receiving and handling stock orders from hub or warehouse and ensuring accuracy of products received.
• Support sales team with retrieving stock in a timely manner including Omnichannel and stock pullback.
• Keep back of house tidy and compliant with Retail Operations and Standards.
• Quality control on all products and report any issues to store lead.
• Support aftersales process (alterations, repairs, personalisation) to elevate client experience.
• Ensure stockroom equipment is working and raise concerns through appropriate channels.
• Handle ad hoc administration including calls, liaising with customer service, stationery and supermarket orders.
• Assist with events, visual merchandising, stock taking and related duties.
