Dollar Tree is seeking an Operations Assistant Store Manager to help manage store operations, customer service, and team development in Jackson, MS. You will assist with daily store activities and act as the primary closing manager, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Act as the location's primary closing manager.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits/receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Ensure adherence to policies and safety guidelines by all associates.
• Support Store Manager in training and development of Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with professional interactions with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness including restrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
• Organize store office, deliveries, and signage; upkeep of break areas and recognition boards.
• Verify task completion and store reset accuracy.
• Assist with payroll and training coordination/compliance.
• Execute store compliance in price clarity, promotions, and drive-items.
