The Assistant Manager will supervise in the Store Manager’s absence, coordinate with departments on selling, restocking, and scheduling, and assist in recruiting and training staff to maintain high performance and profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, footwear and athletic apparel preferred.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Establish action plans to accomplish store responsibilities such as selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist in overall personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments when necessary.
• Ensure profitability by monitoring inventory, sales statistics, and expenses.
