Job summary

Hibbett, Inc. in Saraland, AL is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager with daily operations, customer service excellence, and merchandise promotion.

The role requires knowledge of store processes and the ability to take supervisory action in the manager's absence. You will work with the Store Manager on selling, restocking, scheduling, and staff training while ensuring assets and inventory accuracy and policy adherence.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assumes responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for departmental and store responsibilities.
• Assist in overall personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments when necessary.
• Be aware of inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability in all departments.
• Direct staff to ensure each department’s responsibilities and standards are completed.
• Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Ensure quality customer service as outlined in manuals.
• Perform general administrative duties and be trained in Store Manager responsibilities.
• Produce and deliver extraordinary customer service per the customer service manual.
