Job summary

The New York Islanders are seeking an Assistant Manager, Retail Operations to support the team store’s daily operations, merchandising, and inventory. You will lead the store in restocking, maintenance, and safety compliance, modeling punctuality and strong customer service.

The role requires 1–3 years of retail experience with some leadership responsibilities, solid POS/inventory knowledge, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including game days and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
• 1–3 years of retail experience, with some experience in a lead, key holder, or supervisory role preferred.
• Experience with POS systems, inventory management, and cycle counts.

Responsibilities

• Resolve customer issues in a timely manner; partners with the Store Manager and/or Director as needed.
• Adheres to all retail policies and procedures including POS, Operations and Inventory Management.
• Leads the team in daily maintenance of the store including restocking products, maintaining visual merchandising and cleaning.
• Utilizes safety standards in opening/closing the store daily.
• Encourages staff to be punctual and accountable under management guidance.
• Completes weekly restocks and reports to inventory management.
