Family Dollar in Moss Point, MS is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, support customer service, and develop the store team. You will assist with merchandising, scheduling, and compliance to corporate directives while ensuring a welcoming and safe shopping environment.

The role emphasizes supervising, training staff, and maintaining organized stockrooms and sales floors. Prior retail leadership is preferred, with a focus on teamwork and strong communication.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred and ability to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store tasks.

Mansioni

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions in a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize merchandise transfer from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional displays and store-front fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, payroll and cash handling.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restocked bathrooms, floors swept/mopped, trash removed.
• Other duties as assigned.
