Family Dollar seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development in State Line, Mississippi. You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, handle openings/closes, and ensure compliance with policies.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and store management experience, plus strong communication and teamwork skills to foster a safe, friendly shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions or concerns in a positive manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Adhere to corporate directives and safety guidelines.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in payroll, scheduling, cash deposits, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas clean, organized, and presentable.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing associates.
