Starr Companies in the United States seeks an Underwriting Manager for Retail Middle Market Property across New York, Chicago, Atlanta and Dallas. You will lead and grow a team of property underwriters, expand a profitable portfolio, and act as a senior resource for clients, brokers, and internal teams.

The ideal candidate has 7–12+ years in property underwriting, strong leadership, and excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Formación

• 7–12+ years of property underwriting experience in retail middle market or commercial lines.
• Strong knowledge of middle-to-large property underwriting, including risk selection and pricing.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Proven ability to grow a profitable book of business.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and prioritization abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Risk Management, Insurance, Accounting, Economics, or related field preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, develop, and expand a team of Property Underwriters with coaching and technical guidance.
• Manage and grow a profitable portfolio of retail middle market property business.
• Solicit and review new and renewal property submissions from retail brokers.
• Serve as senior point of contact for clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
• Lead new and renewal strategy discussions and presentations with clients and brokers.
• Provide underwriting guidance on complex risks within the region.
