Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. in Hoover, AL is seeking an experienced retail leader to drive store operations, SOP adherence, and inventory/merchandising execution. You will provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and lead daily tasks to deliver a top-tier shopping experience.

You will coach staff, coordinate truck unloading, pricing changes, and Ship-from-Store activities to ensure accurate stock and customer readiness.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Experience implementing SOPs and company programs.
• Strong focus on in-store execution and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading adherence to SOPs and company programs.
• Ensure policies are followed and store conditions meet standards.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership.
• Lead truck execution, unloads, and merchandise flow to floor.
• Plan workload and prioritize tasks with store leadership.
• Execute and maintain in-stock routines to improve availability.
• Oversee Planogram execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Maintain clean, customer-ready store environment and backroom.
• Manage inventory accuracy, stock movement, and shrink prevention.
• Coordinate ad sets, pricing changes, and Ship from Store.
• Process RTVs/ASN and inventory adjustments as needed.
• Train and coach team members; uphold asset protection.
